There is something deeply restorative about standing at the edge of the sea after a storm. The rhythm of the waves, the movement of the grasses in the breeze and the vast expanse of open sky invite us to slow down and simply breathe.

Looking through the coastal grasses towards the shimmering water, the painting celebrates the beauty found in simplicity. Built with layers of mixed media, it combines soft atmospheric colour with rich texture in the foreground, creating depth and a tactile sense of place.
